Behind the scenes

With everything taken care of – from application to funding to sale – you don’t need to worry about what’s going on behind the scenes when you choose Alaska USA Correspondent Mortgage Lending Services. Your member applications are processed quickly and efficiently, with no additional staffing on your part. Alaska USA does all the work while you strengthen your relationship with your member. If your member has a question about a mortgage application, your service representative can simply say, “Let me put you in touch with our Mortgage Production Group.”

Member-focused management team

With years of mortgage experience, primarily in the credit union industry, our management team is dedicated to bringing your credit union service, value, and convenience by assisting you in providing quality home financing to your members.

Your Mortgage Production Group liaison

Your credit union will have a dedicated mortgage professional to support you during the initial set-up stages and to work with you to ensure a seamless integration with the Mortgage Production Group.

Alaska USA does all the work while you strengthen your relationship with your member.

Underwriting

The Mortgage Production Group has in-depth knowledge of loan programs, credit qualification requirements, and collateral. Mortgage applications are reviewed by experienced underwriters who perform automated and manual reviews. The Mortgage Production Group will communicate directly with your borrower on your behalf upon loan approval and will work with them to satisfy loan conditions before closing. Underwriters can play a key role in the process by directing your members to options that will increase the likelihood of loan approval and long-term satisfaction with their chosen program.

Third-party services

Volume pricing benefits for third-party services are passed on to your members when you use Alaska USA Correspondent Mortgage Lending Services. Alaska USA has teamed with some of the best companies in the business to offer your members exceptional service and pricing.

Document preparation

The Mortgage Production Group prepares and delivers closing documents to the designated closing agent. It coordinates closing instructions, disbursement, and receipt of trailing documents. Properly prepared mortgage documents ensure both accuracy and efficiency.

Post closing and funding specialists

The Mortgage Production Group will fund the loan in your name using your warehouse line of credit and promptly coordinate the sale of the loan to Alaska USA. Final document copying and related delivery support, as well as file review, will be performed by the Mortgage Production Group. Additionally, data will be managed as necessary to support required HMDA and 1098 reporting, and data transfer to the Mortgage Electronic Registration System (MERS).
